59th Board of FAECTOR

A board year at FAECTOR is an amazing experience, starting at the Board Announcement Drink in May up until the final General Assembly of Members almost a year and a half later. During your board year, you will get a lot of appreciation for the work you are doing in your specific position, and you will develop yourself in terms of organisational and management skills, cooperating with your fellow board members, and going through the steepest learning curve you have ever experienced!

The timeline of a board year partly depends on your position, but in general, it looks somewhat as follows.

Before the summer break, you will get to know your fellow board members and get ready for the start of your board year with the help of your predecessors. During the introduction camps and the Eurekaweek, it is finally time to get to know the new freshmen and Master students. And then September comes around: the busiest month for a board member! At the beginning of the year, it is most important to engage new students in events and let them know what FAECTOR is all about! You will give presentations during the ESE take-offs, socialise with the new first-year and (pre-)Master students, get installed during the General Assembly of Members, and attend a constitution drink from another association almost every night. Committee interviews take place, which is important for forming the right group of students that will help FAECTOR organise all events that shape your board year. Before you know it, the first block is already over.

Now it is time to form a bond with your committees and tighten your friendship with fellow board members. Around the exam period, you will have time to go on a board vacation and work on your personal development. In block 2, all kinds of social, educational, and career events take place. Network during the Econometric Career Days and have fun connecting with FAECTOR members! Furthermore, you will work on the policy of FAECTOR for 2024, which you will present to the second General Members Assembly in February. Don't forget to enjoy the LED, the Interfaculty Gala, Active Members Weekend and the Ski- and City Trip, because before you know it, you're halfway through the year and it is already time to start thinking about the 60th board!
